Ecodan Domestic Air Source Heat Pumps from TKAC

Turn Key Air Conditioning are specialists in air conditioning and climate control in the built environment. Working with end users, consultants and other building contractors, Turn Key Air Conditioning offer a comprehensive design, installation and maintenance service on all aspects of air conditioning and commercial & residential temperature control systems.

Many people already know about highly efficient ground source heat pumps that use the temperature differential between the surface and subsoil layers to generate heat. As it represents a newer technology fewer people are fully aware of Air Source Heat Pumps which rely on the same basic principles. Ecodan Advanced Heating air source heat pumps have been developed by Mitsubishi to convert low grade energy from outdoor air and convert this into useable energy used for domestic heating. Ecodan air source heat pumps can even work when the outdoor temperature is as low as -25°C, and from every 1kW of electrical energy fed into the system the heat exchange system converts this into 3kW of heat energy.

Air source heat pumps are easy to install and are far cheaper than ground source heat pumps in providing hot water and heat. This makes them a much better option for heating many homes. The Ecodan air source heat pump system has a box that is fitted to an external wall. The technology is similar to the vapour compression cycle in a domestic refrigerator. The main components are the compressor, an expansion valve and two exchangers for evaporation and condensation. As the refrigerant is colder than the outside air, the air moves from outside to the refrigerant, which then evaporates. This vapour is transferred to a compressor where it reaches a higher temperature and pressure. This hot vapour now moves to the condenser where it emits heat as it condenses.

TKAC have offices are engineers based all around the UK. For more information on the air source heat pump, and how this energy efficiency technology can be used as part of the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) Scheme check out the Turn Key Air Conditioning website or contact TKAC on 0191 438 7410.

Energy Efficient, Income Generating, Solar Energy

Bardo SolarPV are UK experts in the design, supply and installation of solar photovoltaic panel systems to domestic, commercial and industrial customers. Our solar power range includes hybrid, mono-crystalline, polycrystalline and thin film panels offering the most energy efficient solar panel installation for every situation.

Solar panels are not only environmentally friendly but they are also economically effective for most homes and business. As well as directly providing electricity to the home or workplace, any surplus energy generated is fed back into the national grid generating an additional income to the owner. The Feed-In Tariff Scheme offers a fixed rate, tax free income on the electricity your Bardo SolarPV system produces.

Bardo SolarPV is a subsidiary of Bardo Electrical. Bardo Electrical has been operating as an electrical contractor for over 25 years and our UK customers include many household names and blue chip companies. Bardo Electrical carries out full commercial electrical installations in office blocks, retail premises, utilities plants, schools and other public buildings. Bardo Electrical is a member of the Electrical Contractors Association and is NICEIC approved.

Bardo were one of the first companies in the UK to recognise the importance of Solar Power in combating climate change and reducing CO2 emissions. With tax incentives and grants and a guaranteed 25 year income from the Feed-In Tariff Scheme this is a great time for all businesses to be incorporating solar power systems into their energy plans. Bardo SolarPV design versatile installations for a variety of roof structures and also offer ground mounted systems. Industrial and commercial premises usually require much larger systems than domestic users but this is largely dependent upon the level of investment. As solar power offers lower energy expenditure and a potential income many banks look favourably upon an investment in solar technology. For businesses there is the added incentive that investment in solar energy systems can normally be offset against company Corporate Tax liabilities.
