Mitsubishi Ecodan Air Source Heat Pump System – Reduce Cost & Carbon Footprint

Mitsubishi Ecodan Air Source Heat Pump System – Reduce Cost & Carbon FootprintThis new breed of air source heat pump operates at remarkably high levels of efficiency in comparison to traditional home heating systems, thus reducing cost and the owner’s carbon footprint.

Ecodan Air Source Heat Pumps - Ideal For Domestic Heating

In comparison to ground source heat pumps, air source heat pumps are far simpler and cheaper to install. For these reasons, they are now being adopted as viable and eco-friendly domestic heating systems.

Mitsubishi Ecodan Air Source Heat Pump System – Reduce Cost & Carbon FootprintConverts Energy From Outdoor Air To Heat Domestic Water

Mitsubishi’s Ecodan air source heat pump system uses well proven heat pump technology. An external unit fitted to the outside wall takes in renewable, low grade energy from the outdoor air and upgrades it to heat for domestic hot water and heating. The efficiency levels of the Ecodan system are eye opening. For every 1kW of electricity used by Ecodan, the system generates a minimum of 3kW of heating energy.

Hot Water For Domestic Radiators – Low Cost, Low Carbon Domestic Heating

Ecodan air source heat pumps are ideal for domestic application, the control system being designed to work perfectly to provide hot water to either traditional radiators or under floor heating systems. Traditional heat pumps have been used for under floor heating. Now, the advanced Ecodan control system enables the system to provide optimum variable flow temperature control, enabling it to provide hot water to radiators for low cost, low carbon home heating.

Capacity control in domestic radiator systems is controlled by Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRV). For example at 2°C, with 55°C flow temperature, the radiators will be on 50% of the time and off for the other 50% of the time.

The Ecodan air source heat pump system will vary the flow temperature automatically, based on the ambient temperature to keep the house warm. Operating at these lower flow temperatures significantly improves efficiency, reducing cost and carbon emissions.

Through its advanced inverter-driven technology, this air source heat pump system draws only the precise amount of energy needed to meet heating demand at any given time.

Ecodan Air Source Heat Pumps – Quiet Operation
Ecodan air source heat pumps are also designed to be much quieter in operation than many other heat pump systems.

Mitsubishi Approved Ecodan Installers

The Ecodan Air Source Heat Pump System operates in a vastly different manner to traditional systems. Mitsubishi recognise that the installation of Ecodan is a specialist task. To protect the market integrity of this outstanding domestic heating system, it is only available through an Approved Installer network. These installers have been through a rigorous training programme and are expertly supported by Mitsubishi. To contact an Approved Ecodan Installer, visit www.tkac.co.uk .
